Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce of the United States |
The Venezuelan Chamber is a self-financing non-government organization established in 1991 that derives its entire income from annual membership fees and revenues from the events and publications that it originates. One of our objectives is to be recognized as the principal bi-national trade association of commerce and industry between Venezuela and United States.
The Venezuelan community in South Florida is in excess of 40,000 persons living in the area, with many entrepreneurial activities in commerce, light industry, real estate, communications and trade. Furthermore, there are hundreds of Venezuelan students currently enrolled in Colleges and Universities in our State. We established the Young Entrepreneurs Chapter of the Venezuelan Chamber this past April, to promote our objectives within this group of local talent and allow them to meet other businessmen and entrepreneurs. Membership is open to university students and recent college graduates. Venezuela is one of the major trading partners of the United States, whose trade in 2007 was near 50 billion dollars. Florida alone had more than 6.3 billion dollars of merchandise trade volume in that year. During 2008, with data to October, trade volume has increased 56% in imports from Venezuela, and 17% in exports from the United States.
The Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce offers many resources to help you promote your business. We welcome all companies from any nationality with interests in the Venezuelan-American trade.
